How do I retune my TV?Performing a retune on your TV is a useful self diagnostic step you can attempt prior to instructing a company to attend site. When performing a retune, you will need to navigate the menu on your TV. There will be a button on the TV remote, which will open the set up menu for the settings on the TV. Here you will find the option to either attempt an auto or manual tune. We suggest opting for the auto tune to start. Select the option for the auto tune and allow the TV the time to automaticlly input the frequencies into the TV. Hopefully, this will restore the correct TV channels and signal. If you still have an issue with the signal after peforming a retune. Then it is possible that there is an alternative issue with the equipment in situ.

Why am I missing certain TV channels? There are a number of reasons as to why you are missing certain TV channels. The existing terrestrial TV aerial in situ may require aligning. It is possible that if the TV aerial is not aligned correctly, then certain channels can be missing. This is a simple repair and would involve an engineer attending site to realign the TV aerial. The existing terrestrial TV equipment may not have a clear line of sight to the transmitter. If the aerial does not have a clear line of sight, then this will affect the terrestrial TV signal and could explain why there are certain channels missing. This would require the aerial equipment to either be repositioned or provided with additional height, to achieve a clear line of sight to the transmitter. You may be experiencing issues with certain TV channels due to 4G interference. To rectify this issue, you would need to have a 4G filter installed to help filter out the 4G interference. Finally, another reason as to why you may be missing certian channels is if your own TV equipment were faulty. The existing TV or internal receiver may have a fault and this could be causing issues with certain TV channels.

What is causing my signal to deteriorate? There are a number of reasons to explain why there has been a deterioration in your terrestrial TV signal. The existing aerial equipment in situ may be antiquated and in need of replacing. If your current aerial equipment has been in situ for a considerable duration, then it may be time to consider a new installation. A repair can look to be undertaken on an antiquated aerial, but the repairs may not suffice and depending on the age of the equipment, it may be beyond repair. The aerial equipment may have some form of water ingression. If water has got into the TV aerial and or coaxial cable feed(s) then this will have an affect on your terrestrial TV signal. This can cause an on going issue with the TV signal or it may only affect the signal in poor or inclement weather. Over time this will contribute to a deterioration in your signal. If water has entered the aerial equipment, the simplest solution would likely be to replace the equipment that has water ingression, making sure that all equipment is water tight. The signal may be being affected by surrounding buildings, construction and or foilage. If the line of sight is being impeded by any of these, it will have an affect on the TV signal. The affects of surrounding buildings and construction are likley to be more permanent. The issues caused by surrounding tree foilage may have greater affect on the TV signal in the Spring and Summer months. To resolve this issue would involve either the relocation of the equipment or the installtion of additional or lrger mounting equipment to add more height.
